KOTA KINABALU: The highly anticipated Sustainable Wholistic Wellness International Conference & Expo (SWWICE) 2025 will comprise a three-part event.
It will begin with the conference at Magellan Sutera Harbour from 24th to 26th June, followed by a Wellness & Lifestyle Expo at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) from 27th to 29th June, and conclude with a Retreat from 1st to 3rd July.
The event, themed “Sustainable Wholistic Wellness Tourism,” aims to explore holistic approaches to wellness tourism, emphasising sustainability, cultural traditions, and innovative health and wellness solutions.
Ahead of the event, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) ceremony was signed at SICC to mark the official launch of several key initiatives, including SWWICE2025 Germany & Sabah and the Mental Health & Sustainable Wholistic Wellness Campaign, in partnership with the Malaysian Practitioners Hypnotherapy Association (MPHA) and Befrienders Sabah.
Datuk Seri Christina Liew, Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Environment, highlighted the significance of hosting the event, saying that Sabah’s rich biodiversity and cultural heritage provide an ideal setting for an international wellness conference.
“The event aligns with our vision of promoting sustainable tourism and well-being, and we eagerly anticipate welcoming attendees from around the world.”
Liew also emphasised Sabah’s potential to become a medical tourism destination, as the state is equipped with world-class healthcare facilities, skilled medical professionals, and a serene natural landscape.
Cleopatra Lajawai, Organising Chairperson, stated: “SWWICE2025 is a dynamic global platform where local and international communities come together to exchange knowledge, share diverse practices, and explore sustainable ‘wholistic’ wellness solutions.”
