SANDAKAN: Libaran Member of Parliament Datuk Suhaimi Hj Nasir conducted a working visit on Thursday to assess restoration progress at the Seguntor Police Base in Mile 8, which sustained significant damage in a Sept 2024 fire incident.

Suhaimi assessed the extent of the damage and reaffirmed his commitment to assist in expediting restoration efforts to ensure smooth operations for frontline officers maintaining public safety in the area.
“I deeply appreciate the sacrifices and dedication of our police personnel in safeguarding public order. Their infrastructure needs must be prioritized,” he said.
Suhaimi emphasized that the welfare of security personnel should not be overlooked, stressing that any logistical constraints must be resolved promptly to avoid compromising community safety.
He also commended officers for continuing to serve with dedication despite temporary facility limitations. – James Leong
