Sabah UMNO/BN confirms no alliance with Warisan – Suhaimi

SANDAKAN: Sabah UMNO/Barisan Nasional (BN) has officially denied any form of collaboration with Warisan for the upcoming 17th State Election (PRN), dismissing speculation of a partnership as baseless.
The party’s Information Chief, Datuk Suhaimi Haji Nasir, stated that UMNO/BN is committed to a clear and principled political path.
“Any speculation linking UMNO or BN Sabah with Warisan is false and intended to confuse the public. We are not playing both sides nor hiding behind any hidden agendas,” he said in a press statement yesterday.
Suhaimi also recalled the political history of Warisan President Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal, highlighting his past within UMNO.
“The public remembers how the Warisan President was nurtured within UMNO and trusted to rise to the level of Vice President, yet he ultimately chose to leave the party that built his career,” he remarked.
Suhaimi concluded with a sharp critique, stating, “Now, the Warisan President is merely a shadow of a leader who has lost direction and influence. Politics without loyalty is not a struggle, but a personal journey without purpose.”
Emphasizing the party’s focus, Suhaimi stressed that Sabah UMNO/BN’s primary goal is to rebuild public confidence through political stability, strengthen national unity, and advance realistic, inclusive development policies for a better future in Sabah.
