Sabah calls on Japanese to explore blue economy sector

KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor has encouraged Japanese investors to invest in Sabah, particularly in the blue economy sector.
He said the blue economy offers many investment opportunities.
The Sabah Government’s investor-friendly policy also opens the door to various economic sectors for investors to explore, Hajiji said during a meeting with Japanese Ambassador to Malaysia, Shikata Noriyuki, at Sri Gaya.
Shikata is on a three-day official visit to Sabah, during which he will visit Universiti Malaysia Sabah and promote Green×Expo 2027, to be held in Yokohama, Japan.
The ambassador was accompanied by the Head of the Consular Office of Japan in Kota Kinabalu, Yamashita Yoshito, and other Japanese envoys to Malaysia. – Wu Vuide
