KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor chaired the first State Security Working Committee (JKKN) Meeting for 2026 at Menara Kinabalu.
The meeting was held to conduct a comprehensive review of state security matters, and also to streamline coordination and strategic cooperation among relevant agencies in efforts to enhance preparedness, strengthen security controls, and defend the sovereignty of the state and nation against any threats.
Present were the State Secretary Datuk Seri Safar Untong, Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Jauteh Dikun, State Immigration Director Datuk Sh. Sitti Saleha Habib Yussof and Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESSCOM) Commander Datuk Victor B Sanjos.
Others were Sabah Maritime and Federal Territory of Labuan director First Admiral (Maritime) Mohd Khairulanuar Abd Majid, Deputy Eastern Fleet Commander, First Admiral Erman Shahril Adlan and Sabah Security Council Secretary Datuk Awang Yahya.
