SANDAKAN: The water supply disruption at Sanny Estate housing area, now in its fifth day, has prompted Elopura Assemblyman Calvin Chong to conduct a follow-up visit and demand immediate action from the Water Department.
During the visit, residents complained that the lack of water has severely affected their daily routines, including cooking, personal hygiene, and household management.
Chong urged the newly-appointed supervisor at the Water Department to act proactively in restoring the water supply and to provide alternative water sources without delay.
He stressed that continued delays in addressing basic utility issues are unacceptable as they impact the well-being and fundamental rights of the people.
Chong added that he will continue to monitor the situation and escalate the matter to higher authorities if no immediate action is taken. – James Leong
