SANDAKAN: Former Elopura Community Development Leader, Ng Boon Leng, has received unanimous support to assume the position of PBS Sekong Division Chief.
The election took place during the 41st Annual General Meeting of the Sabah United Party (PBS) for the Division, Wanita, and Youth wings, held on June 21 at the Sandakan Community Hall meeting room.
The session was officiated by Sariah Duling, the PBS Central Wanita Executive Committee Member, while the Youth meeting was officiated by Central Youth Vice Chief Mohd Rizuan Mohd Damit.
Alongside Ng, a new line-up of division committee members was also formed, including Mohd Ismail Sapari (Deputy Chief), Mohd Faisal (Secretary), Kasmah Kambar (Wanita Chief) and Risman Lukman (Youth Chief).
In his maiden speech, Ng expressed his gratitude for the trust and support given to him to lead the Sekong Division.
“I am truly touched by the trust and support given to me to lead the Sekong Division,” Ng said.
Ng promised to carry out the responsibilities entrusted to him with full integrity and will always be proactive in seeking solutions to issues raised by the grassroots.
He concluded his speech by taking the opportunity to urge all division party members to support the leadership of the party president, Datuk Seri Panglima Joachim Gunsalam. -James Leong
