The woman was pronounced dead at the Ulu Dusun Health Clinic, where she was taken for treatment following the 8.30am incident.
The crash, which involved two lorries and a car, also left a 31-year-old woman seriously injured after she became trapped inside a 10-tonne goods lorry.
Three other victims, including a three-year-old girl, escaped the incident unharmed.
OCPD ACP George Abd Rakman said the fruit seller sustained injuries in the collision and was taken to the Ulu Dusun Health Clinic for medical attention.
“However, she was pronounced dead while receiving treatment at the clinic,” he said when contacted.
George added that the exact cause of the accident remained under investigation. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
