KOTA KINABALU: Api-Api Assemblywoman Datuk Seri Christina Liew visited Kg Numbak to inspect the village jetty which has been extended by another 50 feet, following a request from the Chief Coordinator for Api-Api Constituency Rano Buisay, on Tuesday.
“The extension is to ease the congestion for the safety and protection of children using the facility for their daily boat ride to and from school,” she said.
Thanking the Api-Api Assemblywoman, Rano said the villagers were very happy as the previously 10-foot-long jetty can now accommodate three boats at one time.
Liew also inspected the condition of a newly-completed 100-foot-long wooden bridge which was built to replace a broken one.
Last year, a 200-foot-long dilapidated wooden bridge was also repaired in the village.
Liew was accompanied by her Political Secretary Vivien Lee Mee Peng and Api-Api Community Development Leader (PPM) Theresa Chong Mui Lan.
