SURABAYA, Indonesia: A Malaysia Pavilion was set up at the expo to serve as a platform for distributing Malaysian products in Indonesia, said PT World Mark Indonesia managing director Suci Maulana.
“There are 10 products from four operators, all from Peninsular Malaysia, mainly snacks,” she said during the 16th Indonesia International Food Expo (EastFood) 2026 at Grand City from June 18 to 21.
She said PT World Mark Indonesia, based in South Jakarta, is partnering with SME Corp Malaysia as its distributor in Indonesia.
“We attend various events in Indonesia to establish collaborations and expand market opportunities for Malaysian products.
“Malaysian products suit Indonesian tastes, so I do not think there is any issue in terms of consumer acceptance.
“This is our second time participating in the expo together with SME Corp Malaysia.
“The response to last year’s participation was encouraging as we introduced SME products to the Indonesian market.
“Malaysia’s multicultural background, with Malay, Chinese and Indian influences, allows us to offer a wider variety of flavours, compared with the predominantly spicy flavours favoured in Indonesia,” she said.
