Liau supports JCI Sandakan youth development initiatives

SANDAKAN: In a significant show of support for youth development initiatives, Liau Fui Fui, Jetama Water Sdn Bhd chairman, welcomed a delegation from Junior Chamber International (JCI) Sandakan during a courtesy call at her office recently.
The meeting focused on JCI Sandakan’s upcoming programmes, including 2025 JCI Malaysia Area Sabah Bootcamp, 2025 Food Festival 3.0, future food carnivals and the historic bid to host Sabah’s first-ever JCI Ten Outstanding Young Malaysians (TOYM) awards.
Recognizing JCI’s pivotal role in cultivating young leaders and stimulating local economic activity, Liau pledged financial backing for these initiatives and accepted the invitation as guest of honour for their flagship events.
“Youths are the catalysts of community progress,” emphasized Liau who is also secretary to Tanjong Papat Assemblyman Datuk Frankie Poon Ming Fung.
“JCI’s dedication to leadership development and social advancement aligns perfectly with our vision. I’m honoured to support their mission and anticipate deeper collaborations,” she added.
Meanwhile, the discussion underscored growing synergies between JCI’s youth-oriented programmes and Sandakan’s development goals. Liau’s endorsement signals strengthened institutional support for initiatives that equip young Sabahans with skills and opportunities. – James Leong
