JCI Tanjung Aru partnership with Sunway yields 64 pints of blood

KOTA KINABALU: JCI Tanjung Aru successfully collected 64 pints of blood to help replenish the blood bank during a recent campaign held in collaboration with Sunway Medical Centre at a shopping mall here.
This noble initiative not only raised public awareness about the critical need for blood donations but also provided valuable health resources to the community.
“We are incredibly grateful for the partnership with Sunway Medical Centre.
“Their expertise and support were crucial in making this event a success, and we are proud to have been part of an initiative that will directly save lives,” said Organising Chairman Eric Len.
In addition, the event featured free health screenings for the public, including assessments of health status, blood pressure checks, cholesterol levels, and glucose levels, among other services.
These offered vital information that could help individuals make informed decisions about their health.
The collaboration also served as an opportunity for participants to learn about the importance of regular blood donations and how they can contribute to local hospitals and medical treatments.
JCI Tanjung Aru thanked all blood donors and volunteers who supported the event.
The campaign served as a reminder that together, we can make a significant impact in saving lives and supporting those in need. – Wu Vuide
