SANDAKAN: Tanjong Papat State Assemblyman Datuk Frankie Poon Ming Fung, along with his Secretary Liau Fui Fui, on Thursday visited a KEMAS Kindergarten student who was injured after a fall at Sim Sim Playground.
The child suffered a fractured left arm after slipping while playing, requiring the insertion of metal supports and cement casting for recovery.
The visit was part of the “Ziarah Kasih” (Compassionate Visit) initiative, aimed at providing moral and welfare support to the affected family.
Poon and Liau presented a special low study table to facilitate the child’s learning during recovery and financial assistance to help ease the family’s burden.
“We hope this contribution will provide some comfort to our young friend, allowing her to continue studying despite her injury,” Poon stated.
Liau who is also Jetama Water Sdn Bhd chairman, emphasized the importance of community support, saying, “Children are the future, and it is our shared responsibility to ensure their well-being, especially in times of need.”
The visit was also joined by the Tanjong Papat Assemblyman Service Centre team, reaffirming their commitment to assisting the community.
