KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Government has appointed three new board members to KKIP Sdn Bhd.
They are former Credit Guarantee Corporation Group chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Zamree Mohd Ishak, Penampang Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Datuk Kou Lee Chong, and Upko Sepanggar division chief Datuk Wong Thien Fook.
Mohd Zamree, a Sabah native, will represent professionals in the banking and finance sectors.
Kou will represent small and medium enterprises and business chambers.
Wong, who previously chaired the KKIP special resettlement committee, will continue addressing outstanding issues concerning the relocation of the original residents of KKIP.
Deputy Chief Minister III and Industrial Development, Entrepreneurship and Transport Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick said the appointments would add value to the board’s leadership and improve KKIP’s management.
He thanked Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor for approving the appointments, in line with his proposal for boards of statutory bodies and government-linked companies under MINDET to include more professionals and industry representatives alongside political appointees.
