KOTA KINABALU: The Palliative Care Association of Kota Kinabalu (PCAKK) expressed its gratitude for the generous public support it has received in running its homecare programme.
This includes the ongoing support from Hyatt Regency Kinabalu over the years.
“Their generosity has helped the association sustain its mission of providing palliative care to those in need,” said PCAKK Management Advisor Datuk Margaret Lim.
Margaret and her team paid a courtesy call on Chairman Datuk Edward Yong Oui Fah to brief him on the upcoming charity concert-cum-dinner “Tina: Heart of Gold” to be held at the Sabah International Convention Centre on August 8.
“This major fundraising event helps support PCAKK’s work in serving patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families,” said Margaret, who is also the event’s organising chairperson.
PCAKK, she said, is deeply grateful for the kind sponsorships received and the warm hospitality extended.
“Support like this makes all the difference and truly reflects hearts of gold,” she added.
The meeting was also attended by Vice President Morna Chua, Immediate Past President Ivy Stanislaus, Executive Secretary Benzie Richard, and committee members Datin Liza Lee and Caroline Paxton.
Also present were the hotel’s General Manager Thor Gervasi and Edward’s wife, Datin Mary Wong.
