SANDAKAN: Tanjong Papat State Assemblyman’s secretary and Jetama Water Sdn Bhd, chairman Liau Fui Fui, presented an SPM Excellence Scholarship to top-performing student Nurhuda Syuhada Abdul Rahim, who scored 8As in her recent SPM examination, in recognition of outstanding academic achievement.
The ceremony was witnessed by Tanjong Papat Assemblyman cum Sabah Development Berhad chairman Datuk Frankie Poon Ming Fung, who attended to show support and appreciation for the student’s achievement.
Liau emphasized that Nurhuda’s success proves that with determination and hard work, excellence is attainable. She hopes the scholarship will provide both moral encouragement and financial support for the student’s higher education journey.
“Nurhuda has not only made her family proud but also serves as an inspiration to young people in this area. We believe investing in education is key to building a brighter future,” Liau stated.
Poon congratulated Nurhuda, noting that such achievements by young people bring hope for the nation’s future.
“We must continue supporting and celebrating excellent students regardless of background. They are vital assets who will drive community development and Sabah’s progress,” he emphasized.
