SANDAKAN: The Marian Fest 2025 at SK St. Mary Town, Sandakan was successfully held on Saturday with great fanfare, featuring various exciting activities including Marian Run (jogathon), educational exhibitions, sales booths and lucky draws.
This joint programme organized by the school and Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) was officiated by Vivian Wong Shir Yee, Member of Parliament for Sandakan.
Adding significance to the festival was the presence of Wong Kah Woh, Deputy Minister of Education Malaysia who visited and observed the various activities. This annual celebration aims to raise funds for school facility upgrade projects while strengthening ties between the school community and local residents.
During the event, principal Tan Boon Yew presented a special memento to Vivian Wong as a token of appreciation for her continuous support to school programmes, PTA chairman Baharudin Ladoding disclosed. – James Leong
