Two private medical centres to collaborate in healthcare

KOTA KINABALU: KPJ Sabah Specialist Hospital and Permai Polyclinics Group signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) yesterday.
The MoU signing ceremony at KPJ Sabah formalises a collaboration between both parties aimed at advancing healthcare services in the community.
It also marked the official launch of KPJ Sabah’s GP-Link Programme, designed to strengthen partnerships and streamline referrals between general practitioners (GPs) and the hospital, ensuring patients receive timely and comprehensive care.
The initiative underscores a shared mission to raise the quality of healthcare delivery and improve patient outcomes in Sabah.
The agreement was signed by KPJ East Malaysia Regional Chief Executive Officer Dr Kenny Yeap and Permai Founder and Chairman Dr James Jeremiah, witnessed by KPJ Chief Executive Officer Mohamed Faizal Mohamed and Permai Chief Executive Officer Dr Maung Khaing Lynn.
“This collaboration is a testament to KPJ Sabah and Permai’s collective vision, working together hand in hand for the betterment of our community,” said Dr Kenny.
“With the GP-Link Programme, we look forward to building stronger healthcare linkages, better trust and greater service to the people of Sabah,” he added.
Dr James said they look forward to working closely with KPJ Sabah under the partnership.
“Let us work together, and I’m very positive that this partnership will yield positive results for both parties,” he added.
