BN must be in ‘Gear 5’ for Sabah State Election, says Suhaimi

SANDAKAN: Sabah UMNO Information Chief and Libaran Member of Parliament Datuk Suhaimi Haji Nasir has called for the Barisan Nasional (BN) machinery to operate at maximum capacity—or ‘Gear 5’—ahead of the 17th Sabah State Election.
Suhaimi issued the rallying cry during a visit to Pulau Nunuyan on Wednesday to assess the readiness of the local BN campaign apparatus. He emphasised that the coalition’s strength is derived from the spirit, unity, and seamless cooperation within its party machinery at all levels.
“Our objective is to ensure the BN machinery in Pulau Nunuyan is fully primed for the election. Victory will undoubtedly be on our side, insya-Allah, when our machinery is united and operates as one,” he stated.
He further highlighted that BN is prioritising active grassroots involvement in all preparatory stages to ensure the party’s message effectively reaches every segment of the community.
The Election Commission has set the nomination day for November 15, with early voting on November 25 and polling day on November 29.
In a separate development, Suhaimi, who also heads the UMNO Libaran Division, inspected the ongoing construction of a tourism jetty in Kampung Pangkalan Batu 10. The project is part of broader initiatives to upgrade tourism infrastructure in the region. – James Leong
