TAWAU: A 32-year-old local man was arrested for allegedly threatening his ex-wife following a report she lodged on February 4.
The incident occurred at the ex-wife’s stall in the vicinity of Bandar Sri Indah when the angry suspect approached her and uttered threats, causing her to feel fearful.
OCPD ACP Jasmin Hussin confirmed the arrest, stating, “The suspect is detained at the District Criminal Investigation Division office for further police probe.”
The case is being investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation. If the offence involves threats to kill, cause injury, or commit robbery, the punishment may include imprisonment for up to seven years, a fine, or both. – James Leong
