Three arrested, Sandakan robbery case cracked

SANDAKAN: The district cops here arrested three individuals in connection with a robbery involving an estimated loss of RM20,000 at a residence in the vicinity of Mile 7, Jalan Labuk.
Deputy OCPD Superintendent K. Ramasamy said the incident occurred on March 21 at about 1.30 am, when a local woman was attacked by an unidentified man who entered her house through a window.
“The suspect robbed the victim before fleeing with several valuable items, including a mobile phone and jewellery,” he said.
Following the report, police conducted an operation and arrested three suspects in raids at separate locations between March 24 and 25.
According to Ramasamy, the primary suspect is a foreigner without valid identification documents. Interrogation of the man led to the arrest of two other individuals, including a pawnshop worker.
“Police also recovered several items believed to be linked to the case, including a mobile phone, jewellery, and clothing,” he said.
The case is being investigated under Section 394 of the Penal Code for robbery with voluntarily causing hurt.
