SANDAKAN: The Sandakan Water Department will temporarily close the junction leading into Bandar Prima from April 11 to April 14, to facilitate repair works on a major water pipe.
The four-day road closure involves the entrance junction into Bandar Prima. Excavation work will be carried out to repair a 1200mm main pipe at the location.
According to Sandakan Water Department Engineer, Ts. Nelly Juee Phillip, the closure is necessary to ensure repair works can be conducted safely and smoothly.
“Road users, especially residents of Bandar Prima and surrounding areas, are advised to use the designated alternative routes throughout the closure period,” she said in a media statement.
The main pipe repair is essential to prevent future disruption to the water supply in the Sandakan area.
