SANDAKAN: Residents of Sandakan will experience a water supply disruption from 6.00 am on Wednesday, Sept 23 until 6.00 am on Thursday, Sept 24.
According to a notice issued by the Sandakan Water Department at 10.30 am on Sept 14 September, the disruption is due to the temporary shutdown of the Segaliud Water Treatment Plant in Sandakan.
The shutdown will allow work to replace three DN1100 butterfly valves, replace three DN400 butterfly valves on washwater pumps, and repair a Y-Tee on the delivery manifold pipe for treated water pump No. 3.
The affected water treatment plant is the Segaliud Water Treatment Plant. Affected areas will experience water supply disruption, and restoration will be carried out in stages.
Affected areas include: All areas from Mile 17 to Mile 1; PPR Gum-Gum, PPR Sg. Manila, Pekan Muhibbah, PPR Muhibbah, Jalan Cina, Taman Vila Vista; Jalan Sg. Batang, Education Hub area, Kg. Sentosa, Kg. Sebait, Kg. Padas, Rancangan Sg. Manila Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3, Phase 4, Sg. Daling, Lalason; All areas in Mile 7 and Mile 8, Bandar Sibuga Jaya, Taman Fortune, Taman Tai Fai Yen, Taman Permata, Taman Sri Rimba, Taman Rimba, Taman Kenari, Taman Nuri, Taman Merpati, Taman Sejati, Sejati Ujana, Taman Airport, Taman Fajar, Fajar Perdana, Tinusa 2, Batu Putih Sg. The Sandakan Water Department advises consumers in affected areas to use water wisely.
