KOTA KINABALU: Borneo Rainforest Lodge (BRL) received the Eco-Luxury Hospitality Award at The BrandLaureate Lifestyle BESTBRANDS Awards 2026, held on July 30, 2026 at The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
The recognition marked a milestone for BRL as the first hospitality brand from Borneo to receive the award, acknowledging its efforts in providing eco-luxury experiences while promoting sustainable tourism and environmental conservation.
Organised by The World Brands Foundation, the awards recognises outstanding brands and organisations for excellence in branding, innovation, leadership and industry contributions.
The award was received by chief executive officer Freddie Coleman, together with chief operating officer Sail Jamaludin and chief finance officer Esner Chong.
