SANDAKAN: Ring in the Year of the Horse with a special Chinese New Year festive market in Sandakan town centre.
The two-night event will be held along Jalan Dua on Feb 14 and 15.
Hosted by the Sandakan Municipal Council (MPS) in collaboration with the Sandakan Parliamentary Service Centre, the Sandakan Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and the United Chinese Association of Sandakan, the market will offer a wide array of festive treats, supplies, and local handicrafts.
The celebration peaks on Sunday, February 15, with a vibrant lion and dragon parade from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm. The procession, featuring decorated floats, will journey from Padang Bandaran to its finale at Bandar Indah, Batu 4.
The grand finale at Bandar Indah will include dynamic cultural performances and a dazzling fireworks display to light up the Lunar New Year. – James Leong
