SANDAKAN: Sawit Kinabalu Group Chairman Datuk Hazem Mubarak Tun Musa has welcomed a proposal to relocate the company’s Sandakan regional office to the Sawit Kinabalu Sandakan Industrial Park (SKSIP), citing its suitability and capacity for future operations.
Speaking at a recent Hari Raya gathering with staff, Hazem said the move would take advantage of SKSIP’s spacious environment.
Group managing director Datuk Victor Ationg noted that the current office at Jalan Lalang, nearly 50 years old and on a hill, is no longer suitable. He proposed relocating to SKSIP for a more conducive, expansive setting with better facilities. Hazem urged staff to remain committed to integrity and Sabah’s economic growth.
Victor also commended employees for their continued dedication and effective performance. He noted that the annual Hari Raya gathering, held across several regional offices, serves as an important platform to strengthen camaraderie among staff while celebrating the festive season.
Present at the event were Sandakan regional general manager Mohd Muazam Syah Idris and several board members. The proposed relocation reflects Sawit Kinabalu’s broader strategy to modernise operations and better support the region’s industrial development. – James Leong
