PENAMPANG: The Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP) will be rolling out 23 series of the MADANI Entrepreneur E-Invoice Seminar nationwide this year to realise its target of reaching 20,000 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
Its Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick noted the initiative is in line with the government’s efforts to accelerate the adoption of the e-invoice system among entrepreneurs, which is a crucial first step towards scaling and modernizing MSME operations in the country.
“As outlined in the Thirteenth Malaysia Plan (13MP), starting in 2026, KUSKOP will focus on advancing MSMEs. This includes transforming small businesses into medium-sized enterprises and enabling medium-sized enterprises to eventually list on Bursa Malaysia,” Ewon said in his opening remarks at the Madani Entrepreneur E-Invoice Seminar held at the Sabah Cultural Centre.
Elaborating further, he described the transition to e-invoicing offers wider opportunities for entrepreneurs to modernise and scale their business.
KUSKOP, through the National Entrepreneurship Institute (INSKEN), is organizing 23 e-invoice seminars nationwide.
The move, initiated in collaboration with SME Corp and the Malaysia Inland Revenue Board (LHDN), ensures the smooth implementation of e-invoicing for MSME entrepreneurs.
“With the ongoing wave of digital transformation and in line with the Malaysia MADANI aspirations, e-invoicing plays a critical role in enhancing operational efficiency while promoting transparency and integrity in business transactions,” said Ewon.
He further reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to enhancing Malaysia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, highlighting efforts to expand access to knowledge, technology and business support.
Among those who attended the event included NSKEN Board of Trustees Chairman Haji Mustaffa Kamil Ayub, INSKEN chief executive officer Viviantie Sarjuni, and other key figures from KUSKOP.
