KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor accompanied Prime Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Anwar Ibrahim in visiting victims of the Kampung Numbak fire at the temporary evacuation centre (PPS) at Dewan Serbaguna Damai.
The visit provided an opportunity for the Prime Minister and Chief Minister to meet the affected victims and offer words of encouragement following the fire.
Anwar also presented special aid to the affected heads of households (KIR).
Earlier, Hajiji joined the Prime Minister for Friday prayers at Likas Jamek Mosque.
The Kampung Numbak fire on Aug 30 destroyed about 200 houses built over the water, killing three people. – Wu Vuide
