KOTA KINABALU: One bag of blood can save three lives – that is how significant donating blood can be.
The act of giving blood carries profound meaning, both in saving lives and supporting essential blood transfusions.
As such, the public is invited to support the upcoming Blood Hero 7.0 blood donation campaign, to be held on April 26-27, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC).
This noble cause is jointly organised by the Che Hor Khor Sabah Moral Education Association and the Entrepreneur Education Association (EEA).
“The blood donation campaign not only helps to replenish the blood bank but also plays a vital role in saving the lives of patients in critical need,” said Organising Chairman Teng Chong Fui.
Vice Chairman Cosmas Wong urged the public not to hesitate to register and take part in this life-saving campaign.
The organisers will also host informative sharing sessions throughout the campaign.
Blood donors are encouraged to take this opportunity to have their eyesight checked, which is one of the several activities.
“Let us come together to donate blood, save lives, and contribute to the well-being of our community,” said Teng.
The organisers also expressed their appreciation to SICC Chief Executive Officer Datuk Rosmawati Lasuki for generously allowing them to use the venue for this meaningful activity.
“Her generosity will greatly contribute to the smooth running of the campaign,” said Teng.
A group of volunteers will be on-site to provide assistance to the blood donation donors. – Wu Vuide
