Fire destroys wooden house in Wallace Bay

TAWAU: A wooden house in Wallace Bay near here was completely destroyed by fire on Tuesday.
Members of the Pulau Sebatik Volunteer Fire Brigade were among the first responders on being notified at 9.31 am.
Other agencies involved in the firefighting operation were the police, People’s Volunteer Corps (RELA) and Civil Defence Force.
The fire was contained at 10.50 am before it was completely extinguished.
Firemen from the Tawau Fire and Rescue Station conducted a thorough safety inspection to ensure there was no further danger before concluding their operation at 11.00 am.
Authorities confirmed no injuries and are working to determine the cause of the fire. – James Leong
