KOTA KINABALU: The 2025 Jom! Malaysia-China run has been scheduled to take place on July 27, with an early bird registration discount of RM15 for participants who sign up before May 31.
In recent years, this run has attracted strong support from local community leaders and businesses, as well as enthusiastic participation from running enthusiasts across the state. The Malaysia-China Friendship Association of Sabah, the organizer, believes this year will be no different.
The event will flag off at 6:00 AM on July 27 from Padang Merdeka, Kota Kinabalu, and follows a 7km route to the Likas Bay City Mosque roundabout, where participants will turn back.
As in previous editions, the event is proudly sponsored by Skechers, a renowned sports brand that actively promotes fitness and healthy living in Sabah. This year’s sponsorship includes lucky draw prizes worth RM60,000, along with race packs containing a T-shirt, eco-friendly non-woven bag, a 30% Skechers discount voucher, race bib, and medal.
According to the association, Skechers will be offering 350 lucky draw prizes, with the grand prize being a 12-month running shoe package worth RM5,508. The winner will receive running shoes worth RM459 monthly from any Skechers outlet for one year.
Additionally, a total of 349 cash prizes worth RM54,500 will be given away – Grand Prize: RM2,000 (1 winner); Second Prize: RM1,000 (three winners); Third Prize: RM500 (five winners), while other cash prizes include – RM300 (20 winners); RM200 (50 winners); RM150 (80 winners) and RM100 (190 winners).
Registration fees – Early Bird (before May 31): RM65 per person and Regular (June 1 – July 13): RM80 per person.
