SANDAKAN: Sandakan Member of Parliament Vivian Wong has called on members of the public who purchased treatment packages from Healing Heart, an unlicensed private wellness centre at Prima Square, to come forward with information if they believe they were misled or affected.
The appeal follows a recent raid by authorities, which led to the shutdown of the centre for operating without valid licenses.
The signboard of the premises has since been removed, and operations have been ordered to cease entirely by the Ministry of Health and the Sandakan Municipal Council.
Vivian’s statement came after a related case was brought to her attention during her constituency’s monthly free legal consultation session. An affected individual sought advice on potential legal recourse following the centre’s closure.
“Any other affected individuals are encouraged to contact my office,” she said, providing her parliamentary service centre’s hotline at 010-8073313. Victims may also visit her office at Bandar Letat Jaya, Mile 3 1/2, to submit relevant documents.
Vivian emphasized that compiling a detailed record will help her team engage with relevant agencies to explore further action. She also warned the public to remain cautious of similar unlicensed wellness operators. – James Leong
