SANDAKAN: The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) here rescued a cat trapped atop a coconut tree in Kampung Batu Putih, on Sunday.
The rescue operation was launched following an emergency call received via the 999 hotline. A team of Sandakan APM personnel was immediately dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, APM personnel acted swiftly, employing safe operational methods to bring the cat down. As a result, the animal was successfully rescued in safe condition.
The cat was subsequently returned to its owner, who was present at the location. No injuries or unwanted incidents occurred throughout the operation.
The Sandakan APM reiterated their ongoing commitment to providing the best service to the community. The public is also advised to immediately contact the 999 emergency line if faced with any emergencies. – James Leong
