Lions Club of Sandakan Selingan spreads holiday cheer at Christmas gathering

SANDAKAN: The Lions Club of Sandakan Selingan celebrated the Christmas festive season, bringing together 31 members and their families for an evening of joy and camaraderie.
The event held recently at the private room of a restaurant, was filled with traditional holiday festivities, including lively games, a gift exchange, and a cake-cutting ceremony. The warm fellowship highlighted the club’s strong community spirit.
During the celebration, President Santhi Krishnan took the opportunity to honour three members who excelled in the club’s recent fundraising efforts.
Special gifts were presented to Past President Chan Boon Thian, Past President Robert Ong, and Past President Francis Lo for securing the highest amount of funds raised. The contributions will support the club’s ongoing service projects in the Sandakan area.
Lions Clubs International, the world’s largest service club organization, is dedicated to serving communities through a wide range of humanitarian projects.
The Sandakan Selingan chapter actively participates in initiatives such as vision care programmes, environmental campaigns, youth development, and aid for the underprivileged—embodying the Lions’ motto, “We Serve.”
