Rasa Ria invite guests to a sensory durian experience

TUARAN: Shangri-La Rasa Ria held a one-day-only Durian Fiesta, celebrating the ‘King of Fruits’ in a truly authentic Sabahan setting.
The resort’s Pogun Tokou venue transformed into a vibrant local tamu, showcasing the finest durians from the orchards of Tenghilan.
This event was designed to immerse guests in the rich agricultural heritage of Sabah.
By procuring the durians from local suppliers in nearby Tenghilan, the resort continues its commitment to supporting local farming communities and sustainable regional agriculture.
For guests who were big-time durian lovers, they also had the chance to enjoy an all-you-can-eat durian buffet.
This was the first time the resort had organised the event besides its previous active collaborations and engagements with local communities as part of its ESG initiatives.
“We have big plans for Pogun Tokou and the limitless possibilities it offers for themed events as a uniquely Bornean venue,” said its General Manager Fiona Hagan.
“Having our inaugural Durian Day at Pogun Tokou is proof that the venue is so versatile that we can curate absolutely any experience for our guests to enjoy,” she said. – Wu Vuide
