KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Association of Tour and Travel Agents (SATTA) has appointed ChLT Ts. Daniel Doughty FCILT, APR as its strategic adviser.
He received the appointment letter from Satta chairman Justin Chong.
Doughty brings experience in tourism, logistics, transport, maritime, public relations, industry development and policy advocacy.
He previously served as president of the Sabah Tourist Guides Association, giving him direct experience of Sabah’s tourism industry and its challenges.
His leadership experience also includes serving as president of the Labuan Chamber of Commerce and chairman of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Malaysia, Sabah Section.
He has also held various industry and advisory roles involving economic development, connectivity, ports, logistics and regional trade.
Satta said his appointment would strengthen its strategic direction, industry engagement and advocacy.
It would also help build stronger links between tourism, transport, connectivity, investment and Sabah’s wider economic development.
Satta said it would draw on Doughty’s industry experience, network and strategic perspective as it strengthens its role in Sabah’s tourism sector. – Wu Vuide
