KINABATANGAN: A wooden house was completely razed in a fire at Phase 3 Sungai Menanggul about 35 KM from here on Sept 24.
The State Fire and Rescue Operations Centre and the control room of the Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue Station received the emergency call via NG999 at 7.37 am. Firefighters responded and arrived at Jalan Sukau at 8.08 am to extinguish the blaze.
The fire destroyed a wooden house. Six personnel from the Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue Station, led by Operations Commander PBK I Azemi Sidan, carried out the firefighting operation.
No victims were reported and the cause of fire and losses had yet to be ascertained. – James Leong
