KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Police Commissioner, Datuk Jauteh Dikun reminds all Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) personnel to always maintain the image and dignity of the police.
Jauteh, who is about to retire, said that every PDRM member will be respected for the integrity, professionalism and personality shown.
He said that every member must always know themselves, understand their responsibilities and not forget their origins as the basis for building excellence throughout their service.
“When we know ourselves, our origins and understand what led us to be in the police force, we will appreciate the responsibility given to us more.
“We will try to do our best and contribute as much as possible to the organization and then to the community,” he said.
He said this at a press conference after the Sabah Police Contingent (IPK) Headquarters Monthly Assembly and the Launching Ceremony of the Sabah IPK Security Hall Construction Project, here, yesterday.
Jauteh said every member must realise that the responsibility as a police officer is not just to enforce the law, but also to carry with it the image, dignity and trust of the community towards the force.
In this regard, Jauteh hopes that all PDRM personnel will continue to maintain discipline, integrity and professionalism in every action so that the force is always respected and trusted by the community.
Meanwhile, Jauteh, who is scheduled to retire on November 11, also shared about life after retirement, which he described as the beginning of a new phase after serving in the police force for so long.
He said that after 32 years of service as a civil servant, he wanted to return to living as a civilian and would only think about his next plans after completing his service. – Fardy Bungga
