MPS holds briefing, handover ceremony for Public Housing Lot Rentals

SANDAKAN: The Sandakan Municipal Council (MPS) held a briefing and letter of offer handover ceremony for Public Housing Lot Rentals at the Sandakan Community Hall on Oct 26.
The ceremony was officiated by Johny Ronggitom, Head of the MPS Valuation and Property Management Sector. A briefing on the responsibilities of tenants under the People’s Housing Programme was delivered by Sapiah Aliasa, MPS Secretary.
The programme aimed to provide participants with a clear understanding of their responsibilities as tenants, as well as the procedures and requirements involved in the rental and management of public housing lots.
The event also featured a lot allocation draw, confirmation of the draw results, and the presentation of rental offer letters to the successful applicants.
The initiative reflects MPS’s continued commitment to ensuring that the public housing rental process is conducted in an orderly, transparent and systematic manner. It also seeks to ensure that recipients are well-informed about their obligations and the procedures they must comply with throughout the tenancy process.
MPS hopes the programme will benefit the recipients and contribute to its ongoing efforts to improve the well-being of the local community. – James Leong
