SANDAKAN: UMNO President, Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, is confident that UMNO Libaran can once again become a pillar of the people’s strength ahead of the 17th Sabah State Election (PRN).
As Deputy Prime Minister, he stated that his visit to the Libaran Division brings great hope for UMNO Sabah to rise and strengthen the state’s political stability while restoring public confidence in the party’s struggle.
Ahmad Zahid acknowledged the high morale displayed during the meeting, the extraordinary reception, and the well-organized machinery, all of which reflect UMNO Libaran’s readiness for the upcoming State Election.
“Alhamdulillah, I am proud to see the strong leadership unity in the Libaran Division under Datuk Suhaimi Nasir, along with the Women, Youth, and Puteri wings,” he said during Libaran UMNO Division delegates’ meeting on Sunday.
He emphasized that UMNO is present to serve, not just to make promises, whether in government or opposition.
“The State Election can happen at any time. We must work hard, stay united, and wisely assess the current political landscape,” he stressed.
Ahmad Zahid reminded all parties not to dwell too much on identifying friends or foes but to focus on the needs of the people.
