Exciting deals in the offing at MATTA Fair Sabah 2025

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah’s tourism appeal is set to be further elevated as travel agents, airlines, and hospitality providers offer exclusive travel packages.
These unbeatable deals will be unveiled at the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Fair Sabah 2025, which will run from 9 to 11 May 2025 at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC).
“This year’s fair will showcase a record-breaking 130 booths, a major leap from the 78 booths featured in 2024,” said Organising Chairman Rocky Kho during a press conference held at SICC here.
“MATTA Fair Sabah recorded a significant RM21 million in sales last year alone — a clear indication of strong demand for travel and growing consumer confidence in the tourism sector.
“This strong momentum reflects the public’s excitement to travel and the tourism industry’s resilience,” he added.
Kho said MATTA remains committed to driving both domestic and inbound tourism, recognising their importance as key pillars of Malaysia’s economic growth.
In the lead-up to Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026), he said MATTA, as a strategic partner, will empower both consumers and its tour and travel members to enhance Sabah’s beauty.
“We want to encourage them to expand their exposure and grasp the opportunities needed to succeed in the global tourism landscape,” he said.
Visitors can also participate in the MATTA Fair Buyers’ Contest, standing a chance to win exciting prizes – including attractive travel packages from Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) – simply by spending a minimum of RM100 at the fair.
MAG is the official airline partner for the fair, bringing a host of exciting travel options for buyers, including attractive packages and exclusive destinations.
RHB has come on board as the official banking partner, further enhancing the experience for visitors with exclusive on-ground promotions, financial solutions, and rewards that add even more value to travel purchases.
