SANDAKAN: JCI Sandakan and St. Mary Secondary School successfully co-hosted a dynamic leadership camp for 36 student librarians this week. The programme aimed to cultivate leadership skills, boost confidence, and foster teamwork through interactive sessions and experiential learning.
Led by JCI Sandakan vice president Kael Lau and organising chairman Kenny Lee, the camp featured engaging workshops by trainers Michael Chang and Lau Kay Cheng. Activities focused on self-discovery, goal-setting, and collaborative problem-solving.
In his address, Lau emphasized the importance of a positive mindset for youth development, while Lee praised the students’ enthusiasm and hoped for future collaborations. The event strengthened ties between the school and community, underscoring the vital role of young leaders.
