KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said that strong cooperation between the State Government and community organisations can safeguard the well-being of Sabah.
“I believe that through this spirit of cooperation, we will continue to strengthen social stability and advance the people’s economy.
“This is in line with the State Government’s aspiration, emphasising inclusivity and balanced development for all to benefit from the state’s progress,” he said at the Federation of Chinese Associations Sabah (FCAS) Angpow Festival at the Hakka Hall.
Hajiji’s speech was read by Deputy Chief Minister I and Minister of Works and Utilities, Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam.
FCAS, which comprises 160 Chinese associations statewide and in Labuan, plays an important role in preserving culture, strengthening community unity, and contributing to Sabah’s social and economic development, he said.
“This festival is not merely a festive event, but a symbol of unity, goodwill, and the spirit of togetherness among the multi-racial community in this state.
“Our presence reflects the harmony that has long been Sabah’s strength.
“Therefore, the State Government appreciates the close cooperation established between the government and FCAS in various fields, including education, social welfare, cultural activities, and community development in this state,” he said.
