LABUAN: The ISKA Borneo International Kickboxing Championship 2026 successfully concluded at Palm Beach Resort & Spa, Labuan, following two days of competitive action involving 11 participating teams.
The championship brought together athletes from Malaysia and international teams, providing a platform for fighters to gain valuable competition experience while promoting friendship and sportsmanship through kickboxing.
In the official medal tally, Monster Muaythai emerged as the overall top team with 14 gold, 12 silver and five bronze medals, bringing its total to 31 medals. Rocky MMA finished second with six gold, one silver and one bronze, while BCG MMA took third with four gold, 12 silver and five bronze medals.
Other participating teams included Tambuakar Martial Arts, Naga Kinabalu, Tenom Top Team, 018MMA, Karabaw Labuan, Baldugan Team, Sharks Muaythai & MMA and Hikari MMA.
One of the major highlights of the championship was the 80kg titlebelt bout between Emmanuel Inemesit of Destiny Training Center (Baldugan Team), Philippines, and Kai Chee of Hikari MMA, Malaysia. Emmanuel secured the title in Round 2 after Kai Chee’s corner threw in the white towel, resulting in a forfeit victory.
Meanwhile, Jesslin Chin of Sharks Muaythai & MMA, Kuala Lumpur, emerged as the winner of the 48kg female semi-pro category after defeating Valentina Nicollie of Monster Muaythai, Sabah.
The organising committee expressed its appreciation to all athletes, coaches, team managers, referees, officials, volunteers, sponsors and supporters who contributed to the successful staging of the championship.
The event also contributed towards promoting Labuan as a destination for international sports events and sports tourism, while providing an opportunity for local and international participants to connect through sport.
