Three men arrested, 5.80g of syabu seized in Kalabakan raids

TAWAU: Three men were arrested and 5.80g of suspected syabu (methamphetamine) was seized in three separate raids under Op Tapis around Kalabakan.
OCPD ACP Rosdi Mat Jusoh said the first raid on Oct 5 was at an unnumbered house in Kampung Rancangan Kalabakan. Police arrested a local man, about 36, and found eight clear plastic packets containing about 5.40g of suspected syabu.
In the second raid, at a house in SMJ Kampung Rancangan Kalabakan, police arrested a man and seized one packet containing 0.08g of suspected syabu.
The third raid was in Kampung Kebun Sapi, Kalabakan. Police arrested a foreigner, aged about 21. There was a brief struggle before he was detained. Police found one packet containing 0.32g of suspected syabu.
All suspects tested positive in initial urine screening for amphetamine and methamphetamine.
The cases are being investigated under Section 39A (1), Section 12(2) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
The total seizure in the three raids was about 5.80g. Police are following up to identify the suspects’ drug suppliers, supply chain and other people involved.
